Peer Review Policy
International Journal of IoT, Embedded Systems and Industrial Automation (IJIESIA)
The International Journal of IoT, Embedded Systems and Industrial Automation (IJIESIA) operates a double-blind peer review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed. Editorial decisions are based on independent reviewer evaluations and the assessment of the handling editor.
Review Model
- IJIESIA uses a double-blind review system in which author and reviewer identities are concealed.
- Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
- Additional reviewers may be invited when specialized or interdisciplinary expertise is required.
Peer Review Process
- Manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial office for scope, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Suitable submissions are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
- Reviewers provide detailed evaluations and recommendations.
- The handling editor assesses reviewer reports and formulates a decision recommendation.
- The Editor-in-Chief or designated editor issues the final decision.
Selection of Reviewers
- Reviewers are selected by the editorial team based on subject expertise, research background, and publication record.
- Reviewers with actual or potential conflicts of interest are not assigned to the manuscript.
- Authors may suggest potential reviewers; however, the final selection remains at the discretion of the editors.
- All manuscripts, including special issues, are reviewed by independent reviewers from institutions other than the authors’ affiliations.
Review Criteria
Manuscripts are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Originality and significance of the research
- Technical quality, engineering rigor, and clarity of presentation
- Appropriateness of system design, methodology, and experimental validation
- Accuracy, reproducibility, and interpretation of results
- Contribution to IoT, embedded systems, industrial automation, or related engineering fields
- Proper citation practices and ethical compliance
Editorial Decisions
Editorial decisions are made after careful consideration of reviewer evaluations. Possible decisions include:
- Accept
- Minor revisions required
- Major revisions required
- Reject
The final decision rests with the editorial team.
Revisions
- Authors are required to submit a detailed, point-by-point response addressing all reviewer comments.
- Revised manuscripts may be subject to additional rounds of review when necessary.
Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest
- All manuscripts, reviewer reports, and editorial communications are treated as confidential.
- Reviewers must not disclose or use manuscript content for personal or professional purposes.
- Editors and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where appropriate.
Ethical Oversight
Any ethical concerns identified during peer review are handled in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy .
